tip 1:
slides can be sent in flat ringbinder-type plastic slide sleeves within reinforced padded envelopes or boxed in slide boxes. Take care with glass-mounted slides

tip 2:
ideally negatives should be 2-6 frame strips and clearly labeled. We would recommend that you indicate the ones that need scanning by marking the negative holding sheet either with stickers or permanent pen. We also advise you to attach a written list (on paper) of frame numbers needing to be scanned/printed etc. Clarity is all at this stage!

tip 3:
if for any reason you do not wish to remove a photo from a frame just send everything "as is". We will remove the photograph from the frame for restoration purposes. You will need to specify whether you would like the restored image to be placed in the original frame in which case we can do so and return to you. You should bear in mind that this would incur additional postal costs and require careful packaging, especially if glass is involved

tip 4:
do not use rubber bands on your paper photographs. You may put a bend in the photos and damage them. Photos that are not flat may not scan well. If you number the pictures on the back or do other writing on the back, please do the marking in pencil and not ink......AVOID permanent marker pens! USE a soft pencil (HB, B, 2B, etc). We can always give you advice if you call us before sending your images

tip 5:
it is important that your photos do not suffer any additional accidental damage during postage and we recommend that you enclose your photo inside two larger pieces of sturdy card, inside a sealed, waterproof bag, inside a board-backed envelope. Please print your return address and our address clearly on your package
